Prof. Fazal Subhan
Professor & Chairman
Dr Fazal Subhan is a Professor & Chairman, Department of Pharmacy, CECOS University. He received Bachelor of Pharmacy from Gomal University, D.I. Khan and became a registered pharmacist. He further obtained M. Pharmacy and M.Phil. in Pharmacy (Pharmacology) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Dr Subhan obtained Ph.D. in the field of Neuropharmacology from the Welsh School of Pharmacy, Cardiff University, UK. Prof. Subhan has a flourishing 33 years of experience in academia in leading institutes including University of Peshawar. His research interest includes testing compounds from both synthetic and natural origin for their utility in pain, inflammation, pyrexia, depression, anxiety, dependence, tolerance, and vomiting.
Dr Zia Ullah Shah
Zia Ullah Shah did his PhD in Microbial Biotechnology from Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad. His research focuses on microbial biotransformation of synthetic polymers. He taught Pharmacy at Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2007 to 2013. He has also been part of Institute of Biological Sciences, Sarhad University for 6 years. His recent research interests focus on the production of microbial enzymes for treatment of solid waste to produce value added products.
Dr Shehla Akbar
Dr Shehla Akbar is Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the Department of Pharmacy, IIB. She is silver medalist of Pharm-D (Islamia University Bahawalpur). Her Doctoral work has focused on the novel treatment options for neuropathic pain and anxiety-allied with neuropathic pain. Dr Akbar earned her Ph.D. from the University of Peshawar. She believes in the notion of serving humanity via educating the young generation.
Ms Taleya Hidayat Hidayatullah
Ms Taleya is lecturer at Department of Pharmacy. She is gold medalist of Pharm-D (Gandhara University). She earned her M-Phil from Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. Her research focused on in-vitro studies to analyze pharmacodynamic interactions between different groups of drugs. She has broad teaching experience including work in RMI and Mehboob School of Physiotherapy. Besides academic world she enjoys literature, poetry, writing, autobiographies and mystic novels.
Ms Ulfat Wahab
Ulfat Wahab is lecturer at Department of Pharmacy. She graduated (Pharm-D) from Peshawar University and enrolled in M-Phil in Pharmaceutical Microbiology. Her research focuses on gene level study of microorganisms involved in drug resistance. Apart from teaching, Ulfat is really passionate to get novel knowledge related to drug resistance and loves to educate the community about rational use of drugs.
Ms Saba Saleem
Saba Saleem is lecturer at Department of Pharmacy. She is a passionate researcher and working on finding the risk of stroke with use of NSAIDs. She has work experience in North West General Hospital, RMI and Sanofi Aventis. Her aspirations include seeking every avenue to achieve a career in medicine leaving a positive impact on community health and wellbeing.
Mr Zia ul Mabood
Zia Maboob is lecturer at Department of Pharmacy. His passion for learning and research led him to complete his MS from University of Bradford where he worked on synthesis of small molecules, targeting chemokine receptors in cancer. He worked as Research Associate with LIRD and performed his duties as Pharmacist in KTH, SKMCH &RC, Stanley Pharmaceuticals and as assistant in ByKare Solution, UK. He can’t resist hanging out with people who hunt for scholarships, appreciate reading novels, and have a taste for cycling and coffee.
