Institute of Integrative Biosciences (IIB) is looking to recruit several outstanding professionals to its team and invites applications for the following positions:

Potential Faculty Members must have completed their PhD and MS/MPhil degree, respectively, in molecular biology or related discipline from a reputable institution. Administrative positions are open to degree-holders in any subject area, provided they have the required skillset.

We seek self-driven individuals with strong communication skills (both verbal and written) who have demonstrated high level of achievement during their career and who possess a genuine zeal for science and innovation.

IIB is a recently established cross-disciplinary entity that offers world-class degree programs and undertakes impactful research in various areas of life sciences that lie at the juncture of biology, and other natural science and engineering disciplines. IIB is a constituent institute of CECOS University of IT and Emerging Sciences, a leading player in engineering and computer science education in Peshawar for over 30 years.

Key responsibilities: Establish and lead their own research group at IIB, teach core modules of the BS in Biotechnology curriculum, write grants and raise funds, supervise Bachelors and Masters research students, engage in collaborative projects with academic and industrial partners.

Eligibility: A doctorate from an institute of high repute in any molecular biology-related discipline; minimum of 10 years experience in teaching and research; supervisory experience; generation of extramural funds; stellar publications; experience with local and/or global industry will be a bonus.

Key responsibilities: Teaching core modules of the BS in Biotechnology curriculum; conducting relevant labs and tutorials

Eligibility: Ideally a person with an MPhil/MS in any molecular biology-related discipline with a strong lab research experience; knowledge of local and global industrial trends will be a bonus.

Key responsibilities: Lead the STEM education and outreach efforts IIB by connecting to local schools and colleges, organizing flagship events like the BIOCAMP for grade 10-12 students and the Biology Teachers’ Meeting, coordinating the new IIB Internship programme and more.

Eligibility: Ideally a person with an MS/MPhil with some relevant experience; Experience with schools and STEM outreach will be a bonus.

Key responsibilities: Organize regular social and educational events, competitions and a flagship conference annually for the biotechnology community.

Eligibility: Ideally a person with atleast a 4-year BS background with excellent event management experience. This includes design, marketing, sales, content and logistics.

Key responsibilities: Lead the marketing and communications strategy to promote IIB events, projects and other initiatives for generating public awareness. Develop content and engage social media communities and manage public relations.

Eligibility: Ideally a person with a 4-year BS background with strong marketing skills. Excellent communication and writing skills in English. Excellent social media skills.

Key responsibilities: assisting the director in all communications and official correspondences, planning and coordination of activities, scheduling, record-keeping, and general upkeep and inventory of the office.

Eligibility: Minimum of a 2 or 4-year Bachelors degree. Proven experience as an executive assistant/personal secretary will be a bonus. Proactive, punctual, committed and with the ability to work under stress. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Email. Social media savviness will be a bonus.
