We are excited to announce that Muhammad Adil Salim, Lecturer at the Institute of Integrative Biosciences has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to study in the USA. Adil will be doing his PhD in Microbiology at the University of California, Davis. Previously, his graduate research was in the area of protein interaction networks of the dengue virus. Adil earned his MPhil and BS from the University of Peshawar and has remained a global undergraduate exchange student at Shawnee State University, USA. At IIB, Adil teaches Systems Biology and Bioinformatics and has held the position of Undergraduate Research Coordinator. In this capacity, Adil was responsible for training Pakistan’s first and second ever iGEM teams, under the SynbioKP project with the Directorate of Science and Technology, Government of KP. The entire IIB family is proud of his achievement and we wish him the very best of luck for his future endeavors!
